PLOT: Graduate yet jobless Apu is composing a novel dependent on his life. One day his life takes an unexpected turn when he meets his old companion Pulu. He takes Apu to his town to go to the wedding of her cousin Aparna. On the big day the husband ends up being a psychological patient and the wedding gets dropped. Apu, out of compassion, consents to be the substitute man of the hour. In this way starts a romantic tale that in the long run winds up in misfortune.

Review: Apur Sansar is embraced from popular author Bibhutibushan Banerjee's 1930 novel dependent on Indian way of life.
